Staff Profiles

We all prefer the chance to put a face to a voice on the telephone or behind an email so we have provided a brief biography and photo of all of our staff for you to see.

Vanessa Cohen - Director

Vanessa has worked at Village Estate Agents since it opened.  As well as being one of the Directors of the Estate Agency, Vanessa also conducts property viewings, guiding prospective purchasers around the properties we have for sale.  Having lived in Worthing for many years, Vanessa has an excellent knowledge of the local area and takes pride in understanding what it is that prospective purchasers are looking for in a new home.

On her days off, Vanessa can be found at sea fishing for Bass, Mackerel and Cod. When not on the ocean waves, Vanessa loves spending time with her granddaughter and spoiling her rotten!

Matthew Cohen MNAEA - Property Consultant

Matthew started working for the Nsure Group at 16 on a part time basis, joining our estate agency team on a full time basis in 2006. He started in the role of an administrator and progressed to his current role as a property consultant, during which time he achieved the NAEA Technical Award in the Sale of Residential Property. In 2008 the business expanded into the lettings market with Matthew playing an instrumental part in the setting up of our lettings department. Taking a keen interest in this area in 2009 he studied and achieved the NFOPP Technical Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management. He now deals with both sales and lettings and is developing his knowledge further by studying to become a domestic energy assessor.

In early 2010 Matthew achieved the CII Level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice meaning he is qualified to advise clients on their mortgage needs.

Matthew is a keen Brighton supporter and even manages to drag his girlfriend along to their home matches! He also enjoys motorsports, in particular Formula 1 and considers himself a bit of Jenson Button!

Amy Cohen - Sales Progressor

Amy joined the estate agency in 2007 to assist us in the day to day running of our offices. Having started in an administration role she has developed her role further by taking on the sales progression work. She now liaises with our vendors and their solicitors to ensure all sales go through as smoothly as possible as well as assisting her colleagues with other administration as required. To develop her career and knowledge further Amy is studying towards the NFOPP Technical Award in the Sale of Residential Property.

Amy also looks after the Skylight Suite for the Nsure Group and in particular the catering for all  functions. She has developed quite a reputation for her delicious cakes!

In her spare time Amy enjoys being the queen of pink. Her most recent accessory being her bright pink Fiat 500! Amy also enjoys going to the gym and cooking.

Emma Wells MNAEA - Senior Property Consultant

Emma has been working for the estate agency since 2005 and has proved herself to be a very valuable asset Having lived in Sussex all her life Emma has a solid knowledge of Worthing and the wide spectrum of property available in the Victorian town.  Having shown herself to be highly proactive Emma deals with our sales progression as well as assisting with our negotiating.  Emma is passionate about providing our clients with excellent customer service and is constantly reviewing how we can improve the services we offer Emma holds the NAEA Technical Award in the Sale of Residential Property. This is a nationally recognised qualification and covers everything from money laundering to the Property Misdescriptions Act.

Emma married in 2008 and lives in Worthing with her husband and daughter In her spare time she enjoys eating out and spending time with friends and family.
